VHS Jazz Band Mission Statement:
The Valencia High School Jazz Program is dedicated to providing a safe and encouraging environment for musicians to build their musical skills culminating in performances of authentic and entertaining jazz concerts. Students are often challenged and encouraged to think critically to overcome musical hurdles through collaboration, hard work, and determination. Through this process, students will develop pride, self-confidence, and discipline that can be applied to all aspects of life. Our band room is a friendly, all-inclusive space free of judgement where all members are encouraged to be their authentic selves. Through jazz we hope to inspire empowerment, excellence, and community.
