Lorraine Kohagen


Lorraine Kohagen has been instructing the color guard at Valencia High School since 2008. Since Lorraine began at Valencia, the program has been quite successful, winning several sweepstakes and first place trophies, in addition to the bronze medal at the 2009 WGASC Championships, High 3A Auxiliary at the 2010 SCSBOA Championships and silver medal at the 2012 WGASC Championships. 

Prior to her position at VHS, Lorraine was the Instructor/Designer at Littlerock High School from 1995 to 2008. LHS was a semi-finalist at WGI World Championships in 2004 and 2005 and the WGI Fresno Regional Scholastic A Champion in 2005, in addition to receiving over 100 first place and sweepstakes trophies while Lorraine taught there. Over the past 20 years, Lorraine has also worked with the color guards at Saugus HS, Whitney HS, West Torrance HS, Highland HS, Quartz Hill HS, Schurr HS, La Canada HS, Antelope Valley HS, Cypress HS, Notre Dame HS, Rosamond HS, Palmdale HS & Don Bosco Tech HS. Lorraine also designs and consults for other guards in California, New York & Georgia.
Lorraine has been an Adjudicator for over 15 years, and is currently judging for SCSBOA, WGASC, Utah Music Educators Association and Utah Color Guard Circuit. She also travels across the country to judge marching band and winter guard contests.
